Re: Request for food donations for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS)
bursary recipients of South Cape TVET College: Bitou Campus in Plettenberg Bay.
The South Cape TVET College, Bitou Campus in Plettenberg Bay registered over 600
students for the first Semester of the 2021 Academic Year. The Campus attracts students
from nearby towns and Provinces.
Over 95% of our Student Population depend on the DHET NSFAS bursary scheme for
tuition fees, Accommodation/Transport and Personal Care Allowance to sustain themselves
in our Town. As you might be aware is that the DHET NSFAS bursary has communicated to
Institutions of Higher Learning including South Cape TVET College that there will be a delay
in the disbursement of allowances to students. Our students usually receive these
allowances from mid to the End of February.
We hereby request Food Donations to about 100 students that are desperately in need of
the following Food Donations and Toiletries:
- Canned Food, Tinned Vegetables (sweetcorn, peas, carrots)
- Maize Meal
- Cooking Oil
- Sanitary Pads and other any other toiletries for Male and Female Students.
- Any other basic food stuff will also be appreciated.
Your support for our food donation drive will get a long way in making learning conductive.
Our students are unable to concentrate on their Studies if they are hungry.
If you would like to be part of this worthy course, kindly contact my office on 044 533
